"Cities by Night"

Cities of light
Photography exhibition edited by BdE.Prod

An invitation to travel across history and civilisations…

The impression of the town is something that cannot be ignored by most of us,
In this regard, Thierry Bonnet is no exception.
What is without a doubt the distinguishing aspect is the almost slow initial progression that he skims through to seize the singular scene that gives testimony to him.

The alchemy of the lights serves as a vector to his imagination.
The author intoxicates the atmospheres where fortuity meets the human, present
in its architecture, its target set in place.
From a monument to a fountain, from a mythical place to a garden, from an alleyway to a shipyard, you will visit these places under new horizons.

Have a nice trip !

Lighting as the choice for unique impressions

For the author, it is essential to stay faithful to his conception of photography. For him, « shooting » is produced in an instant moment, a real situation and real circumstances, only mastered by some.
This is what creates the individuality of the visual image, which each person can observe and contemplate as a unique piece of work.

The author is clear in saying that each scene is a canvas taken from a time-space, and the ability to seize it is a « sacred act » to him, which comes alive through his eyes. .
He therefore considers that even before starting, the person called for in one of his “images” understands that they must be respected in their own unique dimension.

It can be understood that the sense of authenticity translates the values that the author defends in his photographic writings quite well.
It is for this reason that each photograph comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by its creator.
